This park district course is nicely conditioned and while on the short side distance-wise provides enough challenge for all but the very lowest handicappers.
The front side has two short par 4,s balanced by two par 5,s that are nearly 500-yds each. There is water on all but one hole with multiple crossings on two. With sand, water and trees to contend with, it does provide plenty of challenge for the average golfer.
The back side starts out with three fairly easy par 4,s which measure around 300-yds. The greens get much smaller on the back but are smooth and true. The only par 3 on the back is a 166-yd nightmare that is small, narrow and heavily bunkered. The rest of the nine is average in length and difficulty until you reach the par four ninth hole that is the 2nd toughest on the course. It is 384-yds. uphill with OB left and trees on the right and a giant bunker guarding the approach to the green preventing any kind of bump and run.
The course rewards the accurate shotmaker but is very tough on the "long and wrong type." They better bring an extra sleeve of balls.
